Kaffe 1668 |
I was in NY for a quick trip and sent a request out to the Small Axe Coffee Twittersphere for a good coffee house with free wifi where I could work for a few hours before a meeting. You'd be surprised how tough it is to find someplace with enough seating, free wifi for customers AND a coffee philosophy consistent with Small Axe Coffee. Mike White from GimmeCoffee sent me to this six-month old gem in Tribeca.

Coffee Sanctuary |
One of the most recent additions to the Small Axe Coffee scene is Coffee Sanctuary in Boulder, CO. Launched last summer by John Eitel and his wife Megan, Coffee Sanctuary brings high quality coffee to the neighborhood between 30th Street and 28th on Aurora. Read the whole review for the low down.

By night I edit smallaxecoffee.com and the @smallaxecoffee twitter feed. By day I work for a marketing firm. Since Twitter is helping people build community around coffee, I somehow thought writing an article on how coffeehouse owners can get develop community and customers on Twitter would be a good intersection of my interests and expertise.
This quick how-to was inspired in part by an article by Erica O'Grady on Mr. Tweet's site about how one coffeehouse is using Twitter to promote itself and connect with customers. This article isn't the be all and end all, so please add to the discussion here or on Twitter.
